Bei dieser Exkursion des Ornithologischen Kreises Paderborn haben wir in Friedrichstadt  in einem alten Holländer-Stadthaus gewohnt und haben die „Hotspots“ an der Nordseeküste und auf Helgoland besucht. Insgesamt haben wir 70 Arten gezählt und notiert. Diese große Artenzahl hing auch damit zusammen, dass noch Zugzeit ist und viele Arten auf dem Weg nach Norden waren, denen ma normalerweise an der Nordsee nicht  begegnet. Immer wieder beeindruckend auch die Weite dieser Landschaft.

During this excursion organised by the Paderborn Ornithological Society, we stayed in an old Dutch townhouse in Friedrichstadt and visited the ‘hotspots’ on the North Sea coast and on Heligoland. We counted and recorded a total of 70 species. This large number of species was also due to the fact that it is still migration season and many species were on their way north, which you don’t normally encounter on the North Sea. The vastness of this landscape is always impressive.
